Me and COVID-19

The pandemc has greatly impacted the work at SENS Research foundation, with an extended period when only two people could be in the lab at the same time, rising only to five at the time of writing. We’ve been doing the best we can within that constraint, but for sure it has delayed a lot of research - and of course the same applies across the medical research world. I shudder to think how many lives will end up having been lost as a result. For me personally, the lockdown has been quite pleasant - but that’s not much compensation. The only positive is that maybe, just maybe, policy-makers will learn the lesson that prevention and front-loaded investment in early stage research is actually quite a good idea
